From 2025, the German company DHL Express will use alternative aviation fuel at the Brussels airport. The new environmentally friendly fuel is made from recycled cooking fats and animal products, euro-pulse.ru reports.
This fuel can replace up to a third of traditional aviation kerosene. Using fuel obtained, for example, from the oil after cooking French fries, can reduce carbon emissions by almost 80%.
The company's strategic plans include the gradual replacement of 30% of aviation fuel with alternative environmentally friendly sources by 2030.
