From July 23 to 30, the city of Dushanbe (Tajikistan) will host the drawing of the first ever futsal tournament of the Central Asian Football Association among national teams - CAFA Futsal Cup-2023.
The teams of Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will compete for the title of the strongest team in the Central Asian region, reports Sport.kg with reference to the Kyrgyz Football Union.
In accordance with the regulations, the competition will be held in a round robin system in one round. The winner will be determined by the highest number of points scored.
Earlier it was reported that in preparation for the international games, the national futsal team of Turkmenistan is holding a training camp in the city of Turkmenbashi, which will last until June 30.
The coaching staff led by Yakub Ovezov invited 3 goalkeepers and 18 field players to this camp.Following the results of the TCB, the final squad for participation in the CAFA Futsal Cup-2023 tournament and in the games of the Asian Cup-2024 qualifying tournament, which will be held from October 7 to 11 of this year, will be announced.
