Game of Thrones will get eight spin-offs

The American channel HBO announced the development of eight spin-offs of the popular series “Game of Thrones”. The author of the books of the “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, on which the series was based, George R. R. Martin, announced this at the Festival Bang festival, writes buro247.ru.

So far, only one project has been approved - “Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: Hedge Knight.” It is based on the "Tales of Dunk and Egg" series, which takes place 90 years before the events of Game of Thrones.

The plot of The Hedge Knight is about Duncan going to a tournament. Along the way, he meets a boy named Egg, who becomes his squire. Duncan later learns that Egg is a prince from the Targaryen dynasty, who in the future will become King Aegon V Targaryen.

The remaining seven spin-offs are in early development. According to rumors, they will be based on such works of Martin as “The Ten Thousand Ships”, “The Sea Serpent”, “Aegon the Conqueror”, “The Golden Empire”, “Flea Bottom” and “Snow” - about the life of Jon Snow after the finale of “The Game” thrones."
