Google will no longer support Windows 7

From 2023, Google will stop supporting the version of the Chrome browser for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, writes Gazeta.ru with reference to The Verge portal.

Next year, the final version of Chrome for Windows 7, Chrome 110, will be released.

Mainstream support for version 7 of Windows was discontinued back in 2020, with an exception made for corporate customers only. Windows 7 was released in 2009, despite the end of support, millions of people around the world continue to use it.

After Google stops supporting the outdated version of Windows 7 with updates, it will still be possible to use it, but it is undesirable, since without support it will become more vulnerable to online threats. As the best option, it is proposed to install Windows 10 or 11 on a PC.
