Gurban Bayram - a symbol of goodness, peace and unity of the Turkmen people

The nationwide holiday of Gurban Bayram unites all Turkmen citizens, affirming the inviolability of the spiritual foundations of life, moving towards mercy, strengthening faith in goodness and justice.

According to the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”, the celebration of Gurban Bayram begins in mosques everywhere in the country. Early in the morning, thousands of believers - elders and youth - perform “Gurban Ayat Namaz”. These days, the inhabitants of the country perform one of the most important Muslim rituals - the sacrifice of gurbanlyk and turn to the Almighty Creator with prayers.

During the days of Gurban Bayram, a festive atmosphere reigns not only at home, but also on the streets, squares, parks and squares of all settlements of the country. Mass celebrations are accompanied by cultural events organized by hyakimliks and public organizations.

Gurban Bayram is inextricably linked with pilgrimage to sacred places for Muslims around the world. Let us remind that on June 10, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Decree, allowing a large group of pilgrims to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj.

The first pilgrims from Turkmenistan left for Saudi Arabia to perform the hajj to the holy places of Mecca and Medina on June 15.

Pilgrims and all Turkmen citizens in their prayers thank the Almighty for peace and tranquility in their native land, ask for the blessing of all progressive transformations.
