This evening, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov returned to Ashgabat from Dushanbe, where he is on a one-day working visit at the invitation of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the “Watan” information program of Turkmen television reported.
Let us remind that within the framework of the fifth Consultative Meeting of the Leaders of Central Asian Countries, a solemn ceremony was held to award the Chairman of the highest representative body of the people's power of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, with the Badge of Honor of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
At the end of the ceremony, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was given an official dinner, after which Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the Dushanbe International Airport, from where he departed for his homeland.
Upon arrival at Ashgabat International Airport, the National Leader of the Turkmen people was met by officials.
Here, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan cordially congratulated the Chairman of the highest representative body of the people's power of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on being awarded the Badge of Honor of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
It was noted that the summit held in Dushanbe was aimed at further interaction between neighboring countries and strengthening friendly and fraternal relations between peoples.
Thanking for the kind words, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted with satisfaction the high organizational level of the meetings, which resulted in wide opportunities for cooperation between states in the region, emphasizing that trust is the main condition for sustainable development.
Confidence was expressed that the meetings held in Dushanbe would give a powerful impetus to the development of dialogue between the countries of the region and the intensification of inter-parliamentary relations.
Noting that great victories and great achievements are based on high trust, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan with a request to convey sincere gratitude to the head of state and the Government of his country, wishing the diplomat success in fulfilling the responsible mission entrusted to him.
