The working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the United Arab Emirates has ended, TDH reports.
As already reported, on January 4, the head of the Halk Maslahaty arrived on a working visit to the UAE.On the first day of the visit, the National Leader of the Turkmen people held talks with the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The parties discussed the further development of bilateral relations and mutually beneficial cooperation in energy, transport and communications, industrial and agricultural complexes, and high technologies.Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the President of the UAE to visit Turkmenistan at a time convenient for him.
On January 5, on the final day of the working visit, a meeting was held between the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dragon Oil Syed Al Tayer and the Commercial Director of Dubai Aviation Corporation (Flydubai) Hamad Obaidallah.
At the end of the meetings, the head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan proceeded to the Dubai International Airport, from where he departed for his homeland. Upon arrival in Ashgabat, the National Leader of the Turkmen people was met by officials and a representative of the UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan.
Congratulating the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on a successful visit, the diplomat expressed confidence that all agreements reached within the framework of the meetings and negotiations will serve to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and ties of friendship between the two countries and their fraternal peoples.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, thanking for the kind words, noted the significance of the current working visit in bringing interstate relations between Turkmenistan and the UAE to a qualitatively new level, based on mutual respect and mutual benefit, and emphasized that during the meetings specific proposals were voiced for the development of traditional cooperation in a number of regions and relevant agreements were reached.
