1.The working visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Beijing has ended.As part of his trip to China, the head of the Halk Maslahaty took part in the “One Belt, One Road” forum and discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation with the leader of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping.
2.The Turkish state television and radio company TRT expressed gratitude to the organizers of the “Dawn of Arkadag” film festival, noting that through its work it strives to convey the history, culture and beauty of Turkmenistan to the whole world.
Let us remind that within the framework of the festival, TRT presented its short films “Kunya-Urgench” and “In the footsteps of the great Seljuks, the capital of Merv” at the “Ashgabat” cinema.
3. Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation Guych Garayev met with Turkmen students of Lobochevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod. Garayev, emphasizing that Turkmenistan pays special attention to the issues of Turkmen youth, called on compatriots to study well in order to become highly qualified specialists in their field.
4.At the exhibition “Turkmenistan - the heart of the Great Silk Road”, which opened in Beijing within the framework of the “One Belt, One Road” forum, Turkmen carpets and handicraft samples were presented.
Works from the collection of national embroidery aroused particular interest among visitors to the exhibition.During the event, the granddaughter of the chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, skillfully demonstrated the method of weaving the Turkmen amulet alaja.
5. The UN Development Program handed over the next batch of medicines to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan as part of the “Response to COVID-19 in Turkmenistan” program financed by the World Bank. Medicines will be distributed to medical institutions in Ashgabat and velayats.

6.The show “Fashionable Sentence” will return to Channel One with a new host.This was announced by the general director of the channel, Konstantin Ernst.At the beginning of last year, the release of “Fashionable Sentence” was suspended.
Over the years, it was hosted by Vyacheslav Zaitsev, Valentin Yudashkin, Alexander Vasiliev and others.The role of the “accuser” on the program was played by TV presenter and fashion expert Evelina Khromchenko.
7.Unique amateur photographs from the set of the film “Titanic”, taken in 1996 in Mexico, are up for sale.The pictures captured the leading actors Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in between takes.
In one of them, Kate is wearing the same white life jacket that she wore at the end of the film, and DiCaprio is wearing an ordinary modern down jacket.

8.The AFC Champions League will undergo significant reform from next season.Instead of one tournament, two will be held - the Elite Champions League and Champions League 2.
According to the new rules, the final stages of the elite tournament - quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals - will be held centrally in one country.It should be noted that at the moment Turkmenistan is in tenth place in the AFC ranking in the West zone, which gives the right to field two clubs in the second Champions League - one in the group, one in the playoffs.
