On 2 November President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov arrived with a two-day official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.
The head of the state held Turkmen-Tajik high level negotiations in “one-on-one format” with his counterpart, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The sides discussed a range of issues, including the implementation of the joint project to construct the railroad line Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan.
The sides separately reviewed the situation in Afghanistan and the implementation of energy projects. In particular, the supply of electric power to Tajikistan via Afghanistan in autumn and winter period.
On 3 November Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov held a meeting with Shukurdjon Zukhurov, Chairperson of Lower Chamber of Tajikistan’s Parliament Majlisi namoyandagon.
