Hanoi Hosts Turkmen-Vietnamese Business Forum

A Turkmen-Vietnamese business forum was held on Wednesday in the framework of the working visit of a delegation of Turkmenistan to Hanoi. Businesspeople from Turkmenistan and Vietnam signed a number of documents as a result of the forum.

The business forum was attended by members of the delegation of Turkmenistan, representatives of around 40 Vietnamese companies specializing in oil and gas sector, energy, trade, construction, architecture, and transport, as well as media representatives, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said in its press release.

The main purpose of the business forum was to develop new solutions and approaches to realize the potential of bilateral cooperation and increase trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Vietnam.

According to the Vietnamese media, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev expressed confidence that the forum would once again give impetus to strengthening and expanding cooperation between the two countries established on a long-term mutually beneficial basis.

The forum included an exhibition of products made in Turkmenistan and bilateral meetings between members of the Turkmen delegation and representatives of Vietnamese companies.
