Heavy Caspian: Turkmenistan Forum demonstrates interest of business circles in our country

International conference HEAVY CASPIAN: TURKMENISTAN, where topical issues of development of the world market of transport and logistic services was discussed, has been completed in Avaza National tourist zone.

Having brought together more than hundred representatives of professional community from different countries, national and international associations, transport, logistic, forwarding, trade and consulting companies from Turkmenistan, Russia, Austria, Belgium, the Republic of Korea, Turkey, Iran, Luxembourg, Poland, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Estonia, the forum demonstrated high interest of business circles of the world in consolidation of cooperation with Turkmenistan and allowed outlining new directions and formats of collaboration.

Potential of transport infrastructure of Turkmenistan, special details of delivery of over-sized and heavy cargoes by different modes of transport, their transit to other states of Central Asia via the territory of our country were among the main subjects of the conference.

The objectives of the forum, which was held for the first time, is to establish active dialog between profile ministry and departments like railway and motor transport, Turkmenhowayollary Service, the State Service of Maritime and River Transport as well as potential customers of transport services especially in oil and gas sector, chemical and other industry, private structures, which are involved in cargo transportation.

It was mentioned in the speeches that cooperation in such perspective sphere as transport and logistics is an inviolable factor of integration processes in the conditions of the globalization of the world economy, which requires ramified and secure international transport infrastructure.

Being full member of international cargo transportation system, Turkmenistan provides reliable transport and transit communication on its territory.great attention is paid to improvement of equipment and facilities base of all modes of transport like motor, railway, air and maritime transport.

New airports, railways, roads and bridges connecting Turkmenistan with neighbouring states are built.Maritime, air and railway fleets are regularly supplemented with new ships, crafts and equipment.At the same time, our country actively develops international cooperation on transport sphere, initiates the creation of interstate transport corridors, becoming important link of transcontinental routes connecting Central Asia and Europe, Caspian, Black Sea and Baltic regions.

Near and Middle East, South and Southeast Asia.Programme of social and economic development of the country in 2018 2024 developed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is oriented to use of advanced technologies, modern engineering and technical thought and the best world practice.

This Programme stipulates the complex of certain measures in industrialization, diversification and increment of export potential of national economy, opening of new import substitutive production facilities in the regions and intensification of market relations.

Active participation of private sector in realization of economically and socially important projects is important aspect of the Programme.For ten years of work since the establishment, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan became big social organization uniting more than 20 thousand entrepreneurs.

If back in 2008 the share of the non-government sector in the economy in the GDP was less than one percent, today, it is more than 65 percent without taking into account fuel and energy complex.

Members of the UIET are entrusted with big orders in different spheres such as construction of high-speed road Turkmenabat Ashgabat and potassium fertilizer facility in Gaurdak.In general, all of these open wide perspectives for strengthening and development of beneficial relations with foreign business circles including in transport sphere.

Managers and leading specialists of Turkmenistan Logistic Association, Transport and Logistic Centre of Turkmenistan OJSV, LAM Group of Shipping Companies (turkey), Barrus Projects (Russia), Yuk Ulag Merkezi and Beyik Yupek Yoly (Turkmenistan), DAI Global (Kazakhstan) and other shared the practice in this sphere, examples of successful optimization of logistic processes and routes, implementation of IT solutions and other services, which facilitate cargo transportation process.

Perspective plans of the Head of the State for development of national economy, projects of construction of big industrial complexes presented in the reports of the representatives of the State Concern Turkmengaz and Turkmenhimiya raised special interest of the participants of the forum.

Current forum was also distinguished by high informational content and dynamic communication of the delegates.After each speech, the moderators gave time for discussion of mentioned subjects in order to assess the relevance with practical aspect.

Video demonstrating the achievements of our country in different spheres of the economy and existing potential for expansion of the cooperation was presented to the participants.Transport and forwarding company Yuk Ulag Merkezi presented book of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Turkmenistan the Heart of the Great Silk Road”.

Summing up the outcomes of the forum, the participants expressed the gratitude to Turkmen side for excellent organization of the meeting and opportunity to have fruitful dialog on actual issues of development of cooperation.
