Hursand Imankuliev defeated Dmitry Deshkevich and reached the 1/16 finals of the World Boxing Championship

Hursand Imankuliev from Turkmenistan defeated Belarusian Dmitry Deshkevich and reached the 1/16 finals of the world boxing championship in light welterweight.

Imankuliev won by decision of the judges. In the next stage, the Turkmen boxer will meet with the representative of the DR Congo, Fiston Mbaya Mulumba.

The tournament takes place in Tashkent. More than 640 athletes from 104 countries take part in the competition, including seven reigning world champions.

The prize fund of the tournament is 5,2 million dollars. The winners will receive 200 000 USD, the silver medalists 100 USD, and the bronze medalists 50 USD.

The World Championship in Tashkent is broadcast live on the Russian TV channels Match TV and Match! Fighter".
