I Week of June: SCRMET transactions reach $78.6 million

A total of 49 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) between June 1 and 6, 2026, with a combined value of $78.6 million and 325.9 million manats, the exchange reported.

During the week, foreign companies showed strong interest in Turkmen petrochemical products. In particular, firms from Afghanistan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Tajikistan signed contracts for the purchase of TS-1 aviation kerosene and ECO-93 gasoline.

Wheat flour, refined cottonseed oil, textile products, and concentrated licorice root extract were also among the commodities in demand on foreign markets. The main buyers of these products were companies from Türkiýe, the United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan.

Trading activity also remained strong on the domestic market. Local entrepreneurs purchased cotton fiber, cotton yarn, wheat flour, refined cottonseed oil, and textile products. These commodities were among the most sought-after goods on the domestic market during the week.
