IMF: Turkmenistan's GDP Growth Forecast for 2024

Turkmenistan's real GDP growth in the non-oil sector in 2024 is projected at 2.3 percent and 1.2 percent in the oil sector, Trend news agency reported on Monday, citing the latest regional economic forecast of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to the IMF, Turkmenistan's GDP growth in the oil sector in 2023 is projected at 2.9 percent and 2.2 percent in the non-oil sector.

Turkmenistan's real GDP growth in the non-oil sector in 2022 was 2.3 percent and in the oil sector -0.6 percent.

According to the forecast, exports of goods from Turkmenistan in 2023 will be $15.6 billion, and imports - $9 billion.
