In Switzerland, hackers hacked 3 million “smart” toothbrushes connected to the Internet. Attackers used a vulnerability in brush software to launch a DDoS attack on a Swiss company. This was reported by octagon.media with reference to Tom’s Hardware.

According to media reports, the attackers used brushes to connect to routers, surveillance cameras, washing machines and other user devices. The damage from the attack is estimated at millions of euros.

Cybersecurity experts recommend that users regularly update software and device firmware.
