In Yoloten a 70 year old woman gets hit by a car

Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that because of the shortage of flour bread is delivered to state-run shops of Yoloten, Mary velayat every second day.

The sale starts at 7 or 8 a.m. but the queue is formed by 5 a.m.

Starting from 4 a.m. on unlit streets one can see residents hurrying to the shop to join the queue. Incidents occur not only in the queues but on the way to the shops.

A 70 year old Oguldzhan Isamilova got hit by a car when she was headed to the shop before dawn. The reason behind the accident is the poor quality of the road and a lack of lighting. The woman is now in the intensive care unit of the municipal hospital.

Meanwhile, a limit of one loaf of bread for 0,50 manats and one flat bread, which costs 1 manats, applies. However, bread quickly sells out.

The flour ration is sold with a one to two month delay. Residents complain about the poor quality of flour which does not allow making dough and bread.

A kilo of Kazakh flour costs 25 manats at the market whereas the local flour of grade 1 is sold at 15 manats, which is too expensive for the majority of residents.

It was previously reported that because of the shortage of flour residents in Skarchagin etrap, Mary velayat make bread from Guinea corn (sorghum, a cereal used as fodder) and corn. The post In Yoloten a 70 year old woman gets hit by a car first appeared on Chronicles of Turkmenistan.
