More than 60 percent of works for integrated modernization of the first technological line of Nayip Gas Plant in the Zaunguz Karakums in the north of Lebap Velayat have been accomplished.
This installation was put into operation by Italian Technofriga in June 1998 and gave start to gas processing industry of Turkmenistan.Management of the department for production of liquefied gas told that all measures for rapid completion of works for renovation and start of modernized technological unit are taken.
It will allows increasing the efficiency of gas processing and enhancing the quality of gas and hydrocarbon condensate.In the next few years, it is planned to reconstruct the unit for production of liquefied gas at Bagijan Field.
It is planned to build petrochemical complex for production of butadiene styrene rubber and polystyrene on its base.These subjects are under elaboration at present.In the meantime, personnel of the department successfully manages the subject of production of quality fuel, which is mainly goes for export.
From the beginning of the year, they have produced almost 40,000 tons of liquefied gas including 4,000 tons on top of the planned volume.Significant growth in production has been reached comparing with the same period of the last year.
Lebap gas producers of Lebap Velayat have supplied around 20,000 tons of hydrocarbon condensate to Seydi refinery in January April.This raw material is used for production of light petroleum production, which goes for export.
