Yesterday the Negotiations teams of Kabul and the Taliban held a meeting in Doha 36 days after a break.
As representatives of the Kabul delegation informed, The main negotiators and some members of the both negotiations groups met in the positive atmosphere. The Press Secretary of the Qatar office of the Taliban Mohammad Naim Wardak also noted warm atmosphere of meetings.
Both parties underlined necessity of continuation of negotiations and renewal of meetings between working groups for the establishment of the agenda.
It is necessary to note that it is the first meeting between negotiations teams from the moment of the inauguration of new US president Joe Biden.
Earlier the Taliban refused a dialogue with the Kabul delegation and started consultations with the regional countries.
Let’s remind that the Taliban insist on observance of the Doha agreement providing a removal of a foreign contingent from Afghanistan.However the new administration of the USA yet has not sounded the plans concerning a withdrawal of troops.
Nevertheless, at the Munich conference on security Biden stated that he supports diplomatic process and intend to put an end to a 20-year-old war in Afghanistan.
