International Universal Exhibition “White City Ashgabat” Starts Its Work

XXII universal international exhibition "White City Ashgabat" started on Wednesday at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat, the official Turkmen media reported.

Turkmen and foreign companies, representatives of ministries and departmental departments, heads of diplomatic agencies, and international organizations working in Turkmenistan participated in the regular exhibition.

A congratulatory address by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read at the opening ceremony. "I am confident that the international exhibition aimed at promoting the successes of the white marble Ashgabat in the world and facilitating the exchange of experiences with foreign partners will be of great importance in accelerating the works to transform the Turkmen capital into one of the most beautiful and comfortable cities in the world", the Head of State said.

The exhibition organizers - the Mayor of Ashgabat, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry annually include such areas as construction and architecture, power engineering, processing, and local industry, finishing works, upgrading of urban facilities, development of culture, tourism, and sports in the program of this review.

At the sections and sites of the exhibition center managing enterprises of sectoral departments of ministries, entrepreneurs of the country, and foreign companies working in Ashgabat and willing to participate in the implementation of a huge urban development program demonstrate their achievements.
