Iran Khodro Aims to Export Its Bi-Fuel Vehicles to Turkmenistan

The largest Iranian automaker Iran Khodro is ready to export its vehicles with a bi-fuel (gasoline-compressed natural gas) engine to Turkmenistan, the company’s CEO Farshad Moghimi said during a meeting with the Head of the Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen Motor Transport) Agency Guvanchmyrat Akmammedov in Tehran, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Tuesday.

“The variety of products, as well as the production of commercial and passenger vehicles, allows us to offer products with appropriate after-sales services in Turkmenistan,” Moghimi said during the talks.

Announcing the Iran Khodro’s readiness to supply buses to the Turkmen market, the company’s CEO said "export will be possible as soon as possible".

Akmammedov said the Turkmen market would welcome the sale of Iran Khodro vehicles, given their quality and variety.

The head of Türkmenawtoulaglary and his accompanying delegation also got acquainted with the production line of the Iranian company.

Founded in 1962, Iran Khodro Industrial Group is one of the first Iranian automobile companies to open its official representative office in Ashgabat. The company has delivered several dozen cars and buses to Turkmenistan in the past.
