Iran’s foreign trade with Europe over the past 7 months of the Iranian calendar year (March 21 September 22, 2020) exceeded 15 million 910 thousand 816 tons of goods to the amount of 8 billion 807 million 879 thousand 841 dollars. This was announced by Iranian customs service representative Ruhollah Latifi, IRNA News Agency reports.
According to him, Turkey (1 billion 489 million 372 thousand 408 dollars), Russia, Germany and Italy were among the main export destinations from Iran. The smallest quantity of exports from Iran was to Scotland, having amounted to 13 thousand 952 dollars.
Latifi said Iran has exported goods to 37 European countries, including Austria, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, France, Spain, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden, Slovakia and Norway.
“The volume of imports from 44 European countries exceeded 10 million 304 thousand 925 tons of goods to the amount of 6 billion 741 million 39 thousand 303 dollars”, said a representative of the Iranian customs.
The largest quantity of imports to Iran comes from Turkey (2 billion 234 million 670 thousand 640 dollars).Germany, Russia and Great Britain were also among the top importers.
Iran imported goods from a total of 44 European countries. The amount of foreign trade over the past 7 months totaled 38 billion 278 million dollars. The quantity of foreign trade in weight terms decreased by 17.5% compared to the same period last year, having totaled 85 million tons.
