Iran will launch mass production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine

Head of the Iranian Presidential Administration Mahmoud Vaezi declared in an interview with IRNA that the country will launch mass production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus.

According to him, this project will be implemented in pursuance of the agreement reached earlier by Iran and Russia in this regard. “Iran has decided to use a set of different vaccines for the vaccination campaign, including Russian, Indian and Chinese, as well as its own production.

The Iranian government does not give preference to any of them, the main thing is that the vaccination campaign saves the lives of Iranians,” emphasized Mr.Vaezi.

Earlier, the official representative of the Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari, said that Tehran expects to start joint production of coronavirus vaccines with Russia and Cuba.
