Journalists from Turkmenistan participate in IVLP program of the USA State department

These days, a creative group of Turkmen journalists is on a business trip to America.The trip began on the 9th of May and will last until the end of the month.

The Turkmen delegation includes representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the State information agency, and the State committee of Turkmenistan for television, radio broadcasting, and cinematography.The trip was organized by the Mississippi International Development Consortium with assistance from department of State of the USA.

The stay of our journalists in the USA includes events under a specially prepared program related to artificial intelligence and technology in journalism.Turkmen journalists will learn about key strategies and tools used by their American colleagues to integrate artificial intelligence into journalism, as well as the impact of AI-based technologies, and explore ideas for using AI and technology to solve problems in the media.

The first days of our journalists in Washington, (District Columbia), were spent learning about federal systems related to AI processes and their impact on technological progress and journalism.Equally interesting topics and discussions related to the practical application of AI in journalism await members of our delegation on upcoming trips to St.

Louis (Missouri), Cincinnati (Ohio), and New Orleans (Louisiana).
