Kasymguly Babayev and Konstantin Kosachev discussed issues of interparliamentary interaction between Turkmenistan and Russia

The formats of joint work within the framework of the Interparliamentary Commission of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation formed on November 1 and the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, also the directions of further interparliamentary interaction were discussed today in the Federation Council at a meeting of the Deputy Heads of the Upper Chambers of both parliaments Kasymguly Babayev and Konstantin Kosachev.

As the press-service of the Federation Council reports, the talks, which were attended by almost all the heads of the committees of both chambers of the Turkmen parliament were held within the framework of the official visit of the parliamentary delegation of Turkmenistan headed by its Chairman Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Kasymguly Babayev called the visit of the delegation of parliamentarians of Turkmenistan a success.

According to him, the Turkmen parliamentarians are interested in exchanging legislative experience with their Russian colleagues in order to effectively implement the agreements reached by the heads of state and government of Turkmenistan and Russia.

As per the opinion of Konstantin Kosachev, the Turkmen-Russian interparliamentary cooperation is becoming as active, regular and productive as possible.

He stressed that the Federation Council has such agreements concluded only with the closest and most important partners.
