Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan plan to resume direct flights

Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Turkmenistan Nurlan Nogayev met with the Chairman of the “Turkmenhowayollary” Agency Dovran Saburov to discuss the resumption of direct flights between the two countries, which were interrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a statement from the press service of the Kazakh diplomatic mission in Turkmenistan.

Nurlan Nogayev emphasized that the restoration of direct flights is important not only for the convenience of citizens, but also for the development of economic and tourist ties.Dovran Saburov expressed readiness for cooperation and noted the importance of exchanging experience in the field of civil aviation.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to hold additional consultations to develop a plan for the resumption of air traffic, the source notes.
