Kazakhstan Eyes Building of Grain Storage Terminal in Turkmenistan

First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar in a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday in Ashgabat expressed the Kazakh side’s interest in implementing the project to build a grain storage terminal in Turkmenistan.

The sides stressed the need to intensify a constructive Turkmen-Kazakh dialogue in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian areas. They identified among the key cooperation areas the trade-economic, fuel-energy, industrial and agricultural spheres.

The sides also reached an agreement on the supply of Turkmen gas to Kazakhstan, the official Turkmen media reports.

Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations in October 1992.
