Kazakhstan has signed the Law on ratification of the agreement with Turkmenistan on assistance in case of emergency

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed today the Law “On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Turkmenistan on cooperation in the field of prevention and liquidation of emergency situations”, the IIA “Kazinform” reports with reference to the press service of the head of state.

The agreement will allow the sides to exchange experience in the field of predicting emergency situations, preparing the populations for actions in case of their threat or occurrence. The agreements include the possibility to train specialists in the area of civil protection in educational institutions of the partying countries.

Agreement ratification will also allow to provide assistance in elimination of emergency situations on the territory of the parties. Emergency rescue units will be able to cross the State border and import forces and means in the event of an emergency situation on the territory of the parties.

Tokayev also ratified a similar agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Earlier we reported that this document was approved by the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and presented to President of the country.
