Korean companies are interested in oil and gas projects of Turkmenistan

As we previously reported, the Turkmen delegation, headed by the Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova, took part in the first forum of speakers of parliaments of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea in Seoul.

On the sidelines of the forum, Dunyagozel Gulmanova also held talks with Prime Minister Han Dok-soo. The head of the Korean government noted that leading Korean companies are interested in oil, gas and petrochemical projects in Turkmenistan, reports the Greater Asia publication.

In Turkmenistan, Hyundai Engineering and LG International have built facilities for purifying gas from sulfur at the Galkynysh field, and also built a gas chemical complex for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene in the village of Gyyanly.
