Kyrgyzstan will stop production and sale of plastic bags

Kyrgyzstan completely refuses plastic bags - their production, sale, use, reports the "MIR 24" portal. The corresponding law was adopted by the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan in the third reading and sent for signature to the head of state.

The production of bags in the republic will be stopped from next year. After a complete ban on their distribution, customers will be offered eco-bags made of paper or fabric to replace plastic bags. Shops in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan have already completely abandoned plastic bags.

Among the CIS countries, Georgia and Moldova were the first to abandon the production and sale of plastic bags. Kazakhstan is ready to join them, and a corresponding law is being developed in Tajikistan.
