Last Week of October: SCRMET Export Transactions Exceed $7.3 Million

The total amount of transactions at the trades of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCREMET) for the last week of October 2023 amounted to $7,3 million, the press service of the SCREMET reported on Monday.

Business representatives from the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan purchased aviation paraffin and polypropylene produced by Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) for foreign currency, while business people from Türkiye purchased motor oil.

In addition, entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan purchased smooth-dyed and jacquard terry products, denim products, rolled cotton wool, cotton fibre and cotton yarn.

For the domestic market, Turkmen business people purchased polypropylene produced by Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil), handmade carpets, smooth-dyed and jacquard terry and denim products, as well as cotton yarn and woollen fabric for a total amount of over 57,7 million manats. Last week, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered 44 deals.
