In order to provide the country's population with fresh and quality food products, river fish is being caught on an industrial scale in Lebap velayat. This is reported by CentralAsiaNews.
The "Lebapbalyk" economic society employs 165 people.They catch fish in the reservoirs of Duyeboyun in Darganat etrap and in the water area of the reservoir "15 Years of Independence" in Kerki etrap.
In the first half of the year, they caught more than 300 tonnes of freshwater fish worth almost 950 thousand manat, which is much more than the same period in 2023.
As noted in the report, fresh fish products are delivered uninterruptedly to the country's markets. Fishermen use boats and modern equipment made in Russia, China and Japan to increase productivity.
