Legendary Brazilian Mario Zagallo has passed away

At the age of 92, the outstanding Brazilian football player and coach Mario Zagallo died, writes TASS with reference to his page on the social network.

“It is with deep regret that we announce the death of our eternal world champion, Mario Jorge Lobo Zagallo. Loving husband, grandfather, friend and mentor. A patriot who left a great legacy”, - the statement said.

Mario Zagallo forever inscribed his name in the history of Brazilian and world football. He is the only person to have won the World Cup four times in different capacities - twice as a national team player in 1958 and 1962, once as a head coach in 1970 and once as an assistant coach in 1994.
