Lucia Wilde named new UK ambassador to Turkmenistan

Lucia Wilde will become the British Ambassador to Turkmenistan, the press service of the United Kingdom Government informed.

"Ms Lucia Wilde has been appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Turkmenistan," the message says.

The press release specifies that she will take office in November 2021.

Previously, the diplomat worked in the UK Department for Health and Social Care.

Ms Lucia Wilde will replace Mr Hugh Philpott OBE, who will be retiring from the Diplomatic Service.
