Kurash wrestling contest has started at the XVIII Summer Asian Games. The first day of the competitions was not very successful for our team.
Two Turkmen sportsmen, the winner of Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, numerous winner of the world and Asian championships Myrat Orazov in the weight category up to 66 kg and the bronze winner of the this world championship Dayanch Taganov above 90 kg, have been qualified for quarter final in this martial art.
They have successfully passed the 1/16 and 1/8 finals, having taking over the wrestlers from Afghanistan and India and two Mongolian sportsmen afterwards.
