On 23 March 2026, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Ji Shumin.

Particular attention was paid to the recently held friendly visit of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag to the People’s Republic of China, during which a constructive and friendly meeting took place with the Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping.
During the talks, the diplomats exchanged views related to the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the abovementioned visit.
