As reported earlier, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Malaysia on a two-day official visit. Yesterday evening, the presidential aircraft landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The head of state was met by high-ranking representatives of the friendly country, as well as members of the government delegation of Turkmenistan.
This morning, the motorcade of the head of the Turkmen state arrived at the residence of the Prime Minister of Malaysia Perdana Putra. An official meeting ceremony of the President of Turkmenistan with the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim took place here. This was reported by the electronic version of the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".
The President of Turkmenistan then signed the Book of Distinguished Guests of the Malaysian Government House.
After the official photo ceremony, negotiations began in a narrow format.
This is President Berdimuhamedov's first visit to Malaysia since taking office in March 2022.
