Meeting with Azerbaijan colleagues on the exchange of experience in the field of digitalization of customs

On March 30, 2022, a working meeting was held at the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan with representatives of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan via videoconferencing.

The meeting was held at the initiative of the State customs service of Turkmenistan within the framework of the Agreement between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and the Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters in order to familiarize with the practice of using electronic customs technologies in seaports, as well as to introduce the “Single Window” mechanism in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, Azerbaijan colleagues informed about the ongoing reforms in the customs system of Azerbaijan, the use of information technologies, electronic services and information exchange.In particular, information was provided on such projects as the "Green Corridor", "Electronic Window" and others, which are planned to be implemented in the customs authorities of Azerbaijan.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan involved in the ongoing project "Single Window for Export-Import Operations".
