Meeting with the Executive Director of the German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations

On July 15, 2026, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with Michael Harms, Executive Director of the German Committee on Eastern Economic Relations, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During a constructive conversation, the parties noted with satisfaction the high level of traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Federal Republic of Germany.Particular attention was paid to deepening trade and economic ties.

In this context, prospects for introducing advanced German technologies to modernize Turkmenistan's industrial sector were discussed.Potential for cooperation in traditional energy, renewable energy, and the rational use of water resources were also explored.

Turkmenistan's high potential as a key logistics hub was noted, and interest in joint infrastructure development projects was expressed.The parties also outlined ways to strengthen cooperation with German financial institutions to support joint investment projects.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further expanding dialogue.
