The men's and women's teams of Turkmenistan will participate in the 3x3 Asian Basketball Cup, reports Turkmen Sport.
The tournament with the participation of the strongest Asian teams will be held July 6-10, 2022 in Singapore. Qualifying matches with the participation of the men's and women's national teams of Turkmenistan will be held on July 6-7.
In total, 53 teams from Asia and Oceania will participate in the Asian Cup - 30 men's and 23 women's.
In the women's part of the competition, Aina Gokova, Leyla Khalilova, Nigyara Nagiyeva, Zibagozel Hydyrova, Dilfuza Azizova and Yulduz Jorayeva will represent Turkmenistan. The head coach of the women's team of Turkmenistan in basketball 3 x 3 is Alexander Pashkov.
The national men's team will be made up of: Evgeny Nazipov, Ismail Arazmammedov, Annakuli Hojakuliyev, Alihan Bekchanov, Merdan Hodjamedov and Kerim Mammetmuradov. The head coach of the Turkmenistan men's 3 x 3 basketball team is Toyly Bairyev.
At present time, basketball players, members of the men's and women's national teams of Turkmenistan, are holding training camps in Türkiye.
