The popular mobile game Monopoly GO, based on the classic board game Monopoly, currently brings its creators up to 5 million dollars daily during peak periods, reports igromania.ru.
In December 2023, the game generated four times that amount in revenue, with average daily earnings of about 4 million dollars, according to analytics firm AppMagic.
In the year since its release, Monopoly GO's total revenue has exceeded 1 billion dollars. This became possible thanks to the enormous popularity of the game: it was downloaded more than 50 million times in the Google Play store alone.
In terms of revenue, Monopoly GO is ahead of such mobile market giants as PUBG Mobile, Genshin Impact, Honor of Kings, Roblox and Candy Crush Saga. However, players note that without purchasing in-game content, progress becomes very slow. They also don’t like that a lot of time is spent waiting for various game events.
