Monday Trades in Turkmen Commodity Exchange: Cotton Yarn, HDPE, Carpets

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET) on Monday registered 10 deals on the purchase of cotton yarn, polyethylene and hand-made carpets.

The Emirati companies made a deal to buy Turkmen cotton yarn worth a total of $174.2 thousand ($3.3/kg) and 557,5 thousand manats (43,75 manats/kg), the SCRMET announced on Tuesday.

For the domestic market, the Turkmen businesses purchased high-density polyethylene T60-475-119 for 16.8 million manats (18 thousand manats/ton) and hand-made carpets for 52 thousand manats.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $29.2 million.
