Six Russian regions Moscow and the surrounding areas have united to create an updated concept for the national tourist route “Golden Ring”. The corresponding cooperation agreement was signed by representatives of Moscow, Moscow, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kostroma and Yaroslavl regions, reports daily.afisha.ru.
The project envisages not only the development of a new tourist route, but also research and the organization of information tours. Statistics for the first half of 2024 show high interest in the regions: Vladimir, Ivanovo and Kostroma regions are among the top 10 destinations from which tourists most often come to the capital of Russia.
It is interesting to note that about 40% of Muscovites traveling around Russia already visit the cities of the “Golden Ring”. Experts emphasize that the inclusion of Moscow in the route will not disrupt its traditional form.
