The Cup for the Founders of SAMBO will be held in Moscow. The tournament will be held at the new International Sambo and Boxing Center on March 25 and 26, RIA Novosti writes.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, athletes from the Republic of Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, China, Tajikistan and Morocco will take part in the tournament.
A total of 86 sambists will take part in the competition.The program includes fights in sambo and combat sambo among men in the weight category 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg and over 98 kg, as well as among women in the weight category 50 kg, 54 kg, 59 kg , 65 kg, 72 kg, 80 kg and over 80 kg.
The live broadcast of the final bouts will be broadcast on the Match TV channel.
The Cup for the Founders of SAMBO is named after Anatoly Harlampiev, Vasily Oshchepkov and Viktor Spiridonov, who are considered the founders of this sport.
