NASA received unprecedentedly clear photos of Jupiter from the "Juno" probe

The "Juno" spacecraft launched by NASA transmitted unique images of Jupiter to Earth, which are distinguished by record detail in the entire history of observations of the planet. These impressive images were obtained during the 66th flyby of the probe near the gas giant, which took place on October 23, gazeta.ru reports with reference to Newsweek.

During this mission, "Juno" also managed to photograph one of Jupiter’s moons, Amalthea, which has dimensions of 250 × 146 × 128 kilometers. This approach permitted us to obtain new data about the planet’s small satellite.

"Juno", launched into space in 2011, reached the vicinity of Jupiter in 2016 after a five-year journey. Since its arrival, the device has continuously observed the planet and its moons, collecting and transmitting detailed scientific data and high-quality images to Earth.
