National Workshop on Customs Valuation for Turkmenistan Customs

National Workshop on Customs Valuation for Turkmenistan Customs was held in the period from 26 to 30 July 2021 in the format of video conference by World Customs Organization (WCO), with the support of the WCO Regional Office for Capacity Building in Baku.

The five-day workshop was conducted by experts from the World Customs Organization Mr.Luximan Babajee and Ms.Marta Kanelle.The purpose of the seminar was to raise awareness of the employees of the Customs Service of Turkmenistan on issues related to the determination of the customs value of goods.

During the seminar, the key principles of the WTO Agreements, regulatory legal regulation of the procedure for determining the customs value, methods and principles for determining the customs value, license and lease payments in the structure of the customs value of goods were considered.

Recommendations and Decisions of the WCO on the application of methods for determining the customs value.Speaking in the final part, the participants of the seminar on behalf of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to the World Customs Organization, in particular to experts, as well as to the WCO Regional Office for Capacity Building in Baku for organizing this seminar and expressed hope for expanding cooperation in the future.
