New development: Wi-Fi can now pass through walls

The development of scientists from the Vienna University of Technology has changed the technology of the wireless network. Specialists have created a wall material that permits the Wi-Fi radio signal to pass through obstacles unhindered.

The new method, which increases the radius of Internet coverage and its stability, is based on the development of a special material that permits the signal to pass through obstacles, and not be reflected from them, writes

info.sibnet.ru. The principle of operation of the new material is similar to the anti-reflective coating of eyeglasses, resulting in reduced reflectivity of the surface and improved permeability.

Scientists noted that their development is universal and suitable for any type of radio waves: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular network and some spectra of visible light and sound waves.
