New flag of the Organization of Turkic States presented at the summit in Bishkek

At the 11th summit of the heads of state of the Organization of Turkic States (OTG), held in Bishkek, a new flag of the organization was adopted and presented.

According to the Report agency, the new flag depicts an octagon, a crescent with a star, and a sun with straight rays in the center on a blue background.

The blue background (Pantone 3125C) symbolizes a clear sky, peace and prosperity, and expresses the unity of the Turkic peoples. The octagon represents the centuries-old Turkic statehood, symbolizing stability, interconnectedness and strength based on a common cultural heritage.

The sun with forty evenly diverging rays represents light, openness and vitality, embodying common values and vision that illuminate the path of the Turkic world to a brighter and more prosperous future.

The crescent and star are a well-known symbol of Turkic statehood, growth, aspiration to the future and progress, reflecting the dynamic and aspiring spirit of the Organization.
