New Head of UNICEF Representative Office in Turkmenistan presented copies of the letters of credence

Head of UNICEF Representative Office in Turkmenistan Mohammad Fayazi.

The copies of his letters of credence were presented today by the head of the UNICEF office in Turkmenistan, Mohammad Fayazi, at a meeting with the country's foreign minister, Rashid Meredov, according to the Foreign Ministry's website.

Congratulating Mohammad Fayazi on the appointment, R.Meredov wished him success and new achievements in his mission.

During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of cooperation, and also discussed priority areas and prospects for the development of relations between Turkmenistan and the UN Children's Fund.

Turkmenistan practices a holistic approach to issues of child health protection and development, the minister said.

Mohammad Fayazi expressed his readiness to make every effort to further develop cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

Recall that the previous head of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) office in Ashgabat, Christina Weigand, completed her mission in the country in September.
