Veteran of the Great Patriotic War Maria Koltakova celebrated her 100th birthday.Grandmother, who calls herself “steel”, is the owner of numerous records in extreme sports, and in honor of the holiday she set another one.

According to the rg.ru edition, the veteran stood on nails for one hundred seconds, which was another record among women over a hundred years old.Maria Koltakova has more than 10 Russian records for her age, including skydiving, scuba diving, hot air ballooning and hang gliding.

World War II veteran Maria Koltakova participated in the Battle of Kursk, liberated dozens of cities, carried hundreds of wounded from the battlefield, and for her exploits was awarded the Order of Glory III degree, the Order of the Patriotic War I degree, as well as medals “For Courage” and “For Military Merit”.
