Novak Djokovic won Olympic gold for the first time

Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic won a gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. In the final of the Olympic tournament, Djokovic defeated Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in two sets that ended in tiebreaks, reports sports.ru.

The achievement allowed the 24-time Grand Slam winner to complete a career Golden Slam of victories at all four Grand Slams and Olympic gold.

This is Djokovic’s fifth attempt to win Olympic gold.

Previously, he won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

After the match, the Serbian tennis player showed strong emotions, not holding back tears of joy from the long-awaited Olympic triumph.
